This log, on Stardate 41209.2, features the mass suicide of a fellow Star Fleet ship. Over 80 people died, from faulty weather controls and the emergency hatch being blown.
Wesley...oh Wesley. He shows that whether you're from the 20th century or the 24th century, you can be a complete nerd. He built a little sound board just to play pretend that he was on the bridge, not exactly normal behavior for most teenagers. "Acting Captain Weslley Crusher" indeed.
"You are fully functional aren't you?" One of the defining moments of season one for me. I mean, just how hilarious is it that Tasha Yar seduced Data?! I love that it's one of the things that is refered to throughout the series.
By the second half of this episode, everyone is acting completely nuts. Dr. Crusher and the Captain are all flirty, Data is acting funny drunk, Geordie is beligerant and Troi passed out.
And of course, drunkie Dr. cures everyone and Wesley figures out how to keep the star piece from hitting the ship. Crushers to the win!

You're right...The Crusher's are both the ones causing trouble (hitting on captain...taking over ship) but then they're also the ones to save the day! GO CRUSHER DUO GO!!!
